I am a fully qualified Chemistry teacher with 20 years' classroom experience, 13 years of which have been in school leadership positions, including Head of Chemistry and Deputy Head Academic at an independent school judged excellent for academic attainment. In May 2020, I left the role of Headteacher at an independent day school in West Sussex which I had held since 2015. Throughout my teaching career I have taught A level chemistry and, for the majority, GCSE Chemistry. My students have consistently attained outstanding results and demonstrated excellent progress.

I have extensive experience of using online and flipped learning techniques to enhance learning and established one of the first iPad Academy Schools. Along with creating numerous online learning resources, I have led on improving teaching and learning in schools for the past 13 years and been a school inspector since 2018.
My chemistry background includes obtaining a First Class Honours degree and PhD from a Russell Group University. This was followed by three years of postdoctoral research, funded by two prestigious international organisations - The Royal Society and The Leverhulme Foundation. All my research has been published in peer reviewed international journals.
